KINDER COMBO & SUPERSTAR SPLIT
Our KINDER Combination, SUPERSTAR SPLIT
and ACROS are designed for our dancers ages 5-7 to build a strong foundation in the core subjects of dance.
The SDD Kinder Combo and Superstar Split program consists of combination classes that encourage children to creatively explore while focusing on a strong foundation in dance! Dancers build on the basics from our Tutu Cute program with new skills in ballet, tap and jazz, which are the core subjects of dance. Our classes emphasize the development of rhythm, movement, motor skills and coordination in a fun, inspiring class setting. This age also begins training in acrobatics, similar to gymnastics. Acro is a great class to build strength and flexibility while learning tumbling skills in a structured, safe classroom. Dance at this age encourages self-expression, confidence, skill development and creativity.

Kinder Combo
Dancers age 5 (as of 12/1/2024, entering Kindergarten)
A fun upbeat class for our kindergarten dancers! Designed for children who have completed our Tutu Cute program or 5-year-olds who are new to dance. Dancers creatively explore dance as the learn fundamental skills of ballet, jazz and tap.
This class is an hour long and will perform one dance in one Spring Recital held in early June at the Palace Theatre in Lockport.

Superstar Split
Dancers age 6-7 (as of 12/1/2024, entering 1st or 2nd grade)
A fun upbeat class for 6 year olds who have completed Kinder Combo or 6-7 year olds who are new to dance. Dancers creatively explore dance as the further their study of ballet, tap & jazz.
This class is 1.25 hours long and will perform two dances in one Spring Recital held in early June at the Palace Theatre in Lockport. One changeable costume is used for both dances.

Kinder or Superstar Acrobatics
Dancers age 5-7 (as of 12/1/2024)
Acro is available to students ages 5 & up and is a combination of jazz style dance and tumbling skill training. Class includes focused instruction in flexibility, strength, balance and skill training similar to gymnastics floor exercise. Proper progression, technique and safety are emphasized.
This class is 45 minutes long and will perform one dance in one of our Spring Recitals held in early June at the Palace Theatre in Lockport.
Acro can be taken in addition to Kinder Combo, Superstar split, Starz level class or on it's own as a single subject.

Class Attire:
What to wear:
Girls: Solid-color Leotard (skirts are optional) with convertible tights in pink, fleshtone or white.
Hair pulled back completely off the face in a bun, ponytail or braid.
Boys: White T-shirt and black shorts or pants
Shoes needed for Kinder Combo or Superstar Split:
Girls: Tan Mary Jane Tap Shoes & pink leather split sole Ballet Shoes
Boys: Black Ballet shoes & Boys black Tap Shoes
Acro: Barefeet (be sure tights are convertible or footless)
Please send your child into class wearing their ballet shoes with tap shoes in a bag. Dancers should also bring a water bottle to class. Be sure to label all shoes and items with your child’s name or initials.
